About Newcomer Tools

Newcomer Tools is an independent collection of free calculators for newcomers to Canada and residents of British Columbia — Super Visa income and insurance, Express Entry CRS scores, PR fees, citizenship eligibility, BC take-home pay, rent increases, and the real cost of sending money abroad.

The site is built and maintained in Surrey, BC — one of Canada's largest newcomer communities — because we kept watching friends and family dig through outdated blog posts for numbers that exist in official tables.

Every figure is taken from official sources — IRCC, the CRA, the BC Residential Tenancy Branch — and each tool links to its exact source. Figures are re-verified on a monthly cycle and every tool shows a dated change log. Where the real world varies (insurance premiums, remittance rates) we publish clearly-labeled estimate ranges.

We are not affiliated with any government and we are not licensed immigration consultants (RCIC) or lawyers. Nothing here is immigration, legal, tax, or financial advice. The tools are free; some outbound links may be referral links, which never change a tool's results.
